Processing Time

To determine when you will receive your order, please note that credit card authorization and verification must be received before we can process your order.
Once you have placed your order, we will send you an email confirming that we have received your order.
Once your order is verified, it will be processed within within 7-10 business days.
Custom orders may take longer to process, depending on the complexity of the design.
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a Ghana Post tracking number.
You can track your order using the tracking number provided.
We do not process orders on weekends or holidays.

Why We Ship With Ghana Post (And Sometimes DHL)

Shipping from northern Ghana comes with its own challenges.
There are really only two realistic options: Ghana Post or DHL.

Over the years, DHL has increased their international prices dramatically often up to several hundred percent. Using DHL for every order would make our handmade baskets far too expensive, and would take away from what truly matters: fair wages, ethical production, and keeping our craft accessible.

So here’s what we do:

• We ship primarily with Ghana Post — reliable, trackable, and far more sustainable.

• If your country is not serviced by Ghana Post, we simply use DHL.

• This balance lets us keep prices fair while still ensuring your basket arrives safely.

Shipping Zones & Delivery Times

We ship worldwide using Ghana Post as our main carrier. If your location isn’t covered by Ghana Post, we simply switch to DHL — so your basket always finds its way home.

Here’s a warm and simple breakdown of our shipping zones and delivery times:

• ZONE 1 — USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Netherlands
  $19.99 USD · 7–12 business days

• ZONE 2 — Rest of Europe
  $24.99 USD · 10–15 business days

• ZONE 3 — Australia, New Zealand, Middle East, Asia
  $29.99 USD · 12–18 business days

• ZONE 4 — Rest of World
  $29.99 USD · 14–21 business days

Customs, VAT & Duties

A gentle heads-up:

• The USA does not charge VAT or duties on our baskets.

• Customers in the UK and most European countries will likely need to pay VAT or customs duties when their order arrives.

• These charges depend entirely on your country’s rules and are the responsibility of the customer.

We always include proper origin documentation (Statement of Origin / EUR1 where required).

Wrong Address, Lost Packages & Delivery Issues

Please double-check your address during checkout — it really helps!
Zaarefolks cannot assume responsibility for:

• shipments sent to an incorrect address provided by the customer

• delays due to incomplete addresses

• packages marked “Delivered” by the carrier
